Company Overview

We are the exclusive UK agent for a leading U.S. manufacturer of high-performance industrial pumps. Our products serve vital sectors including manufacturing, fire protection, water utilities, and the oil and gas industry.

Role Summary

As a Key Account Executive, you’ll spearhead market development across the UK, acting as the key commercial link between UK clients and the U.S. manufacturer. You’ll identify, specify, and close pump solution sales across several dynamic sectors.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop new sales opportunities in industrial, fire protection, water, and oil & gas markets
· Visit client sites, assess their specific requirements, and provide tailored pump solutions
· Create and present proposals, quotations, and tenders
· Build long-term relationships with end-users, contractors, and consultants
· Attend industry events to promote our brand and generate leads
· Provide market feedback to the U.S. manufacturer
· Achieve set sales targets and maintain detailed CRM records

Key Skills & Qualifications

· Proven sales experience in industrial/technical environments (pumps, valves, rotating equipment preferred)
· Strong commercial and negotiation skills
· Knowledge of pump types and applications is a distinct advantage
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Self-starter able to manage a territory and work independently
· Full clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide

Desirable

· Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
· Familiarity with UK standards and approvals (e.g., LPCB, WRAS, ATEX).
· Existing contacts in relevant industrial or engineering sectors

Pump Engineer – Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining a wide range of pumps
• Site surveys providing pump solutions to customers
• Dealing directly with commercial and residential clients, providing them with excellent customer service

Pump Engineer – Requirements

• Confident in stripping down and reassembling a wide variety of pumps, with a background in clean water and wastewater
• Previous mobile engineering experience
• Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition desirable
• Confined space qualification
• Working at height qualification
• Health & Safety qualification
• Analytical problem solver
• Confident working independently or as part of a small team
• Clean driving licence
