Phil Harris, our MD recently visited the wonderful city of Liverpool.
Great architecture, friendly people, and some fascinating historical items at the Liverpool Museum.
Amongst a truly eclectic collection is one of the very earliest steam Locomotives, Lion, built in 1838. It also ran in and was the feature of a 1953 film, The Titfield Thunderbolt.
What has this got to do with pumps?
Not a lot, but Phil loved the Locomotive (Not a train until it has coaches or wagons attached to it) and we thought you might appreciate seeing a brilliant piece of engineering from a time when almost everybody in the world had never seen a mechanised form of transport or travelled any faster than a horse.
