When Inverter drives were new, many promises were made about how much money you could save by buying and installing them.
Unfortunately, those promises were rarely realised. How do we know this?
Because whilst servicing pumps on site we find many of the fitted inverters running at their maximum settings, and no account has been taken of the actual needs of the system they are in. The cost of the inverter has brought no advantage in terms of performance or produced the power savings they were designed to deliver.
To accrue the benefits of inverter drives they must be tuned to the system demands, whether it is by reacting to flow, pressure, or some other variable.
Properly applied inverter driven pumps can save a fortune, quite literally.
