STRATE SEWAGE STATION SERVICING

Your STRATE sewage pumping stations are designed and built for a long working life.

However, they are not fit and forget.

Within the STRATE units are components, particularly but not exclusively the flap valves, which can deteriorate over time.

Failing flap valves, the build up of solid calcium, or other deposits on valve seats, can cause your unit to internally recycle, reducing efficiency and failing to clear pipelines. If your unit is not performing as it should this is one of the most common causes.

Regular professional service by Cougar technicians or your own trained personnel (we can provide training) reduces damage and consequential costs.

We recommend a maintenance cycle of at least once a year.

8.2. Maintenance

Sewage pumping stations must be serviced regularly by a specialist for this purpose.

The intervals must not be longer than:

✅ ¼ Year for installation in commercial operations
✅ ½ Year for installation in multi-family dwellings
✅ 1 year for installations in detached houses
